Creating the Chinese Evans Loft

I bred Janssen, Meulemans birds for years and had achieved top results at some big Open Races. But with the essential changes of our National Race gradually, the Open Race will be the mainstream of the development of Chinese Birds Race. As the bonus of the Birds Race is higher and higher, and the competition will also be harder than before which I had already known clearly for a long time. In order to

adapt to more and more drastic Open Race in future better, I began to explore some better foreign famous lofts and bloodlines from 2003.

My daughter went to England for study in 2003 and in the period of her study, she visited the annual World Birds Exhibition several times at Blackpool, England where she met many famous breeder around the world, and then she sent lots of information to me. From 2004 we began to pay attention to the very famous race bird breeder from York district of north England, M&D Evans.Year after year

throughout the racing seasons the name M & D. Evans appears in the U.K. pigeon magazines week after week for producing winning bloodlines for other fanciers. The printed reports in Federations, Combines, Classics and Nationals are being achieved at unbelievable rate. Mark &Dick Evans birds can always on the winner list when fanciers race these bloodlines at North America District, Canada and America. Just like the miracles created by the Janssen Bros Family and Van Loon Family at Europe Mainland, Mark & Dick Evans bloodlines will bring new energies to the Race Birds Sport of North America because any other bloodlines had never won so many National Prizes. Mark & Dick Evans bloodlines must can be on the list of the Top Racer of North America with these unsurpassable trump card.

The Mark & Dick Evans bloodlines have now won from passed ten yeas to date 29x 1st Nationals. Only 2006 this one year they won 6x1st Nationals, 4x1st Classic and 1x1st NPA Open. Their performance for race of themselves is the best in the history of England Birds Races, but their ability as the breeder is much more better than their prize won in the races. There is no other loft in England could claim this same statement

After a lot of study, I realized Mark& Dick Evans bloodlines mainly from Belgium famous Gaby Vandenabeele. In Gaby’s peak period of 1985-1995 they purchased 54 direct Gaby Vandenabeele pigeons and they also purchased another over 80 young birds from Holland

famous Koen Minderhoud. At the same time, they continuously spent thousands upon thousands pound to introduce into other Europe famous breeder’s top race birds which mostly are Gaby bloodlines. They worked extremely hard to select the best from these bloodlines and race them constantly and then they have found the only way to maintain the best winning lines is to inbreed only around their own winning lines but year after year they are purchasing new stock of top quality to use as an out cross. Again please note any breeding experiment, breeding system or however good the gene pool is in any top bloodlines the golden breeding pairs are only selected with the final test, the basket. They require our stock pairs to breed winners on a regular basis; also they must breed to different mates. We will not retire pigeons to stock with just one outstanding performance, single results are almost meaningless. We don’t take anything seriously until we see it for a third time. At the same time, I am very sure that Mark & Dick Evans bloodlines fly start from France where need to fly through English Channel. The weather in England can changes in a minute and even many races are in the day with the wind on bird’s nose, they also can win prize from 70 – 550 miles. They have ability to perform great no matter the weather is good or bad.
These bloodlines they owned is claimed the most successful and resistive loft all around the Europe. Mark & Dick Evans bloodlines are just what I dreamt from, so we decide to purchase Mark & Dick Evans bloodlines with big money. We requested to purchase young birds from Mark & Dick Evans from 2005 but it’s a pity to be noticed we have to wait for three yeas to order their young birds, they only can provide birds till 2008 and we must sign an order and pay subscription firstly. At the early 2006, my daughter visited Mark & Dick Evans at their home. She was warmly treated by them and then she signed an order and pay the subscription. I can get these young birds of this order at 2008 which is a test to my volition, but I will not doubt my decision even I have to wait for three years.

I went to England to take part in my daughter’s commencement at July, 2006 while I made a special trip to visit Mark & Dick Evans. They took out their super breeder one by one, like “Carrie”, “Shadow”, “Eisenhower”, “Golden Gaby” and so on, these breeders impressed me a lot. They had middling body, acuate and tough bones framework and they are full of energy. I was refused unobjectionably when I requested again to

sell me two young birds firstly. And they hoped me can understand that if they firstly sell me birds, it’s unfair to the fanciers who need to wait for three years to get a bird. I was really appreciated the staid and faithful of English. In my opinion, it’s hard to imagine I can’t purchase one young birds with big money which was even rarely happened at today’s most famous lofts at Belgium and Holland.

They also told me they will have a special Auction with Mr. Gaby at October which was prepared by them from 2004 that totally there were 120 birds, each contributed 60 birds. They would provide the best bloodlines birds in this auction together, which was never happened in one open auction before. At the same time this auction can solve a problem, because all the young birds were ordered by 2008, in order to treat every waiting fancier fairly, so they decided to hold this auction.

The only purpose of Mark & Dick Evans is to break all the world record by using this bird team and prove to all the fancier around the world that these birds for sale at this auction can win more champions than any other auctions.

My daughter went to Mark & Dick Evans’ home ahead of the schedule with her classmate at 21st,Oct 2006. They went up for middle west of the England together with Mark & Dick Evans, the Salesroom in Tipton Physical Education Institute where hundreds of fanciers and agents from England, America, Canada and Japan had waited for a long time. Mark & Dick Evans had told me something about their birds and recommend me some of the most

outstanding young birds before this auction and I had translated and studied a lot about them already. There were totally 128 birds in this auction and it only took 2 hours to finish the sale while we gained totally 8 birds that are No.9, No.18, No.17, No.21, No.25, No.45, No.58, and No.66 but it’s a pity that No.2 bird was purchased by an American. The prices of these 8 birds almost were the highest among all the 68 birds provided by Mark & Dick Evans. I must say that the price of these birds provided by Mark & Dick Evans were 1/3 higher than Mr. Gaby’s even than the 6 direct sons and daughters from De Bliksem provided by Mr. Gaby. The highest price bird in this auction was the No.2 birds provided by Mark & Dick Evans which can prove how much the Mark & Dick Evans birds were welcomed. We were the only Chinese buyer in this auction but purchased 8 almost highest price birds when American, Canada and Japan fanciers purchased most of other birds.

Mark & Dick Evans suddenly give me an urgent call at 30th,Oct to tell me that one customer ordered 21 birds three years ago but hoped can postpone to received these young birds because of the loft remove. But as you know, Mark & Dick Evans were very staid English person, so they refused this request. Considering I had spent lot of money to purchase 8 birds and it’s very difficult to ship these birds to China, they give me a first chance to decide whether purchased these 21 birds or

not. We immediately decided to purchase them all, and the more better thing is Mark & Dick Evans also provide another 1 birds ungrudgingly, top breeder, direct daughter from Golden Gaby 333 to my daughter as a present.
At the end of December, Mark & Dick Evans drove themselves to Belgium and shipped these 30 young birds together to China by air.
At the same time, Mark & Dick Evans mailed me a Testimonial to prove that we are the first fancier to breed Mark & Dick Evans bloodlines in China!
Because Mark & Dick Evans bloodline is a complete system, so we decide to build a new loft named Evans Loft (伊万斯种鸽舍 in Chinese by transliteration) and have registered this brand name at Trade Office State Administration for Industry and Commerce, People’s Republic of China.
Our Chinese Evans Loft is greatly supported by the Mark & Dick Evans of England. We will try our best to improve the quality of birds by breeding and take part in the National Top Open Races. We look forward to achieving some outstanding results in near future and hope can share successes with other fanciers.
